Unhook Yourself – Freedom Starts When You Let Go Dearest Parmarth family,Why is it that something that happened once can keep living and burning inside us for years? Why does a moment of pain turn into a story we carry everywhere? So many of us don’t even realize how much energy is going into remembering, replaying, rehashing the story of our wound. I’ve met people all over the world who say, “I just can’t forgive.” Not because they want to stay angry — but because they’re afraid that forgiving means saying what happened was okay. Or that the other person somehow gets away with it. Or that their pain won’t be honored anymore. In this clip from our sacred evening satsang, I look at what we’re really doing when we hold on… from watching thousands of human hearts struggle with the same question: “How do I let go without betraying myself?” In this video I share a truth that changed my life: forgiveness is not a gift we give someone else. It’s the freedom we give ourselves the moment we stop being chained to someone else’s anger, their confusion, their fear—their entire karmic package. We don’t forgive because what happened was okay. We forgive because we deserve to be free. And we don’t have to act as the karmic police, standing over the universe reminding it who did what. The law of karma does not need our supervision. I also speak very plainly about why we resist forgiveness—even when we’re exhausted. If you’re carrying a wound that still burns—something you can feel in your body the moment you think of a name, a place, a memory—please watch this video. It may open a door: a door back to your own dignity, your own freedom, your own right to live unburdened. Click here to watch!
