Former Delhi BJP President and three-time Member of Parliament from North East Delhi, Shri Manoj Tiwari, while addressing a press conference today, said that while anyone can draw a line on butter, the 2026 Budget is an effort akin to carving a line on stone to shape the destiny of India of 2047.

He said that this Budget, presented by India’s Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, is aimed at transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.

The press conference was coordinated by Delhi Pradesh Media Head Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor, and was attended by Media Relations Head Shri Vikram Mittal and State Spokesperson Dr. Mamta Tyagi. Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that the Orange Economy proposal in Budget 2026 will become a driving force for the progress of India’s youth.

Addressing the press conference, Shri Manoj Tiwari said that this Budget is different from previous ones. Generally, when a Budget was presented, people focused mainly on how much tax relief was given. Every year, people were appeased with small tax concessions. However, due to the trust people have in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, expectations from this Budget were not limited to income tax relief but were focused on a roadmap to make India a developed nation by 2047—an expectation that Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman has fulfilled.

Shri Manoj Tiwari said that if it were a Congress government, they would have wasted time by giving a tax relief of ₹50,000 every year, whereas the Modi government has already made income up to ₹12 lakh tax-free in the previous year itself.

He reiterated that the Finance Minister has rightly stated that this Budget is meant to make India a developed nation by 2047.

Shri Manoj Tiwari further said that the opposition and the general public have always raised questions about employment opportunities for youth. Keeping this in mind, the government has ensured in this Budget that skill centers will be established in every district, not just in metro cities and large urban areas.

He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi speaks of four sections—youth, women, farmers, and the poor. Until youth are skilled, who will give them jobs? Therefore, opening skill centers is essential.

He added that when we talk about equality between girls and boys, one major issue for girls pursuing education away from home is accommodation. Keeping this in mind, the Modi government has made a provision in the 2026–27 Budget to open one girls’ hostel in every district. In his own parliamentary constituency, a 1,000-room girls’ hostel is being constructed, but such facilities should not be limited to Delhi alone—they should be available in every district of the country.

Shri Tiwari said that ₹30,000 crore has been allocated to MGNREGA, which is now also popularly known by the name of Shri Ram.

He said that provisions have also been made in the Budget to make India a global data hub. When India can supply food grains to 170 countries and provide vaccines even to countries like the United States, why can it not become a data hub? The youth of the country and the government together are prepared to make India the world’s data hub.

An important aspect of this Budget relates to shipping. Earlier, goods imported from other countries used to be held at ports for two to four months for clearance, and when they finally reached the market at higher prices, the burden was borne by the general public. Now, this Budget provides for clearance within just 48 hours.

With this Budget, travel to Varanasi by bullet train will become easier. Distances up to Tamil Nadu, including Mumbai, will now be covered in just a few hours.

The proposal to build seven corridors will genuinely be implemented, as the government has also made adequate financial provisions for it. Just last month, GST revenue stood at ₹1.93 lakh crore, and today people praise GST instead of complaining about it.

Not only this, self-reliance in the power sector has also increased. Electricity tariffs are to be reduced, and provisions such as solar and hydro energy have been included in the Budget. Moreover, the defence budget has increased nearly twentyfold compared to earlier times. Therefore, heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for this visionary and far-sighted Budget.
