Surrendering is NOT Giving UpDear Divine Parmarth family,So many of us live in the illusion of control. We think that — through a tight grip — we can control the people and situations around us. But the truth is that we don’t have nearly as much control as we think we do.I know. I spent years in the illusion of control, micromanaging every detail. Convinced that if I just planned better, worked harder, controlled tighter—everything would finally fall into place how I wanted it to be. But not only did that not work – it also squeezed the flow of life out of my life. Here’s what i didn’t realize at the time and discovered only when I found myself immersed in a spiritual practice in India: a death grip on life doesn’t work. The traffic doesn’t move faster because you’re stressed. People don’t love you more because you’re managing them. The universe doesn’t reorganize itself around your plan. The way out? Surrender!!   But when most of us hear the word “surrender” we panic.  It sounds like losing. Like giving up. Like the white flag you wave when you have no more resources. But that is not true spiritual surrender. Surrender comes actually from strength, not weakness. It comes from clarity and conscious awareness. And, it’s the most powerful path to connecting with the flow of life. In this clip from our sacred evening satsang at Parmarth Niketan, I share what surrender really is, why it’s important (and super powerful) and how to begin. Here’s the secret I wish I knew in my youth: when you let go of the death grip, you don’t fall into chaos or the void. You fall into something that’s been holding you all along. You realize you were never poised precariously on a ledge, but that you were always being carried and held. If you’re exhausted from trying to control everything….. If you’re ready to trade the illusion of control for actual peace….If you’re ready to find the true path to peace, purpose and freedom….Surrender is your key!:Listen to this short video and in just a few minutes, it might shift something you’ve been carrying for years.
