90,000 Hours of Your Life (and How Not to Waste Them)Dear Divine Parmarth family,

Jai Gange!   Here’s a number that might shock you: You’ll spend roughly 90,000 hours of your life at work. That’s more time than you’ll spend eating, sleeping, or with your family. And yet half of all people want to quit their jobs. Half. We’re literally spending the majority of our waking hours doing something that makes us miserable.

But here’s what I’ve learned after nearly three decades of watching people struggle with this: Your job doesn’t have to be your identity. Sometimes work is simply what puts food on the table, sends kids to school, keeps the lights on—and that’s completely honorable. There’s no shame in a job that’s just a job. The problem isn’t when work is just work; the problem is when we waste those 90,000 hours in resentment, anxiety, or quiet desperation because we think it has to be something more than it is.

Whether your work happens to be your dharma or it’s simply your livelihood, there’s a way to live those hours consciously. There’s a way to show up—not just in body but in presence—that transforms everything. Because those 90,000 hours aren’t meant to be endured. They’re meant to be lived.

In this video I share how to reclaim meaning in the time you’re given and make these 90,000 hours a way to grow, deepen and expand, not just endure.
