Weekly drops of wisdom from the banks of Mother Ganga

You Are Not the BodyDearest Parmarth family,

Have you ever had that moment where you catch yourself in the mirror and think, “Who is that person looking back at me?” Not because you don’t recognize your face, but because something deeper feels off?  Like you’re playing a character that seems separate from “you?” Like the face in the mirror doesn’t feel like “you?”

It’s a feeling most of us have had at some point in our life and it’s actually good news! It’s not confusion or disconnection or anything to worry about! It’s actually the beginning of something deep and profound.  There’s an important reason you sometimes feel like a stranger in your own life, disconnected from others, searching for something you can’t name…the feeling may be uncomfortable but it will direct you to a very powerful realization.

There’s a fundamental misunderstanding that ancient wisdom says creates almost all human suffering. It’s a case of mistaken identity so deep that most of us never even question it. We spend our entire lives believing we know who we are. But most of us have been looking in the wrong place the whole time.

In this clip from our evening sacred satsang at Parmarth Niketan, I explore the difference between who you think you are and who you actually are. It’s not philosophical theory. It’s the most practical and scientific truth you’ll ever encounter. Because once you see it, everything changes. The loneliness, the separation, the endless searching…it will all begin to make sense.

Watch here and learn the ancient truth that changes everything.
