Protesting against what it termed the Congress party’s attempts to create anarchy in the country and its demonstration outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence, which BJP alleged posed a threat to national security, the Bharatiya Janata Party staged a massive protest in Rohtak on Wednesday. Under the leadership of BJP Haryana State President Dr. Archana Gupta, thousands of party workers assembled at Subhash Chowk and marched on foot via Ambedkar Chowk to the Haryana Congress headquarters.

Throughout the march, BJP workers raised slogans such as “Congress Party Murdabad,” “Rahul Gandhi Murdabad,” “Politics of Anarchy and Confrontation Will Not Be Tolerated,” “Rahul Gandhi, Who Defames India Abroad, Shame,” “India Will Not Tolerate Rahul Gandhi’s Insult to the Nation Abroad,” “Rahul Gandhi, Head of Congress’ Factory of Lies, Shame,” “Stop Holding Democracy Hostage,” “Congress Stands with Anarchy,” and “Congress’ Identity is Insulting Democracy.” The protesters later reached the Congress office, where they staged a demonstration. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Archana Gupta launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party.

Dr. Archana Gupta said that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party’s protest outside the Prime Minister’s official residence was an attempt to challenge democratic norms as well as the country’s security arrangements. She termed the protest unfortunate and condemnable.

Targeting Rahul Gandhi, she said that when the NEET examination issue surfaced, he went abroad on a 24-day vacation. According to her, he returned only after Parliament convened and, instead of participating in constructive discussions, chose to stage a protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence. She described his actions as condemnable.

Dr. Gupta further said that Congress has no moral authority to speak on paper leak issues. She alleged that before 2014, several examination papers were leaked, but Congress governments failed to take effective action. She stated that as soon as the recent issue emerged, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took immediate action and ensured fair conduct of examinations. She added that students are satisfied with the policies of the Modi government and are continuing their education without disruption.

Calling Rahul Gandhi a “seasonal leader,” Dr. Gupta said he becomes politically active only when opportunities arise. She remarked that Rahul Gandhi does not know what it means to struggle, claiming that he stages symbolic arrests, has tea and snacks, and returns home within a couple of hours. She alleged that he is trying to mislead innocent youth and use them for political purposes, but today’s youth are aware and stand with the politics of development, transparency, and good governance.

Recalling the Emergency imposed in 1975, Dr. Gupta said that the biggest assault on democracy was committed by the Congress party. She alleged that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi jailed opposition leaders, curbed civil liberties, and trampled upon the spirit of the Constitution. She advised Rahul Gandhi to first look at his own party’s history.

The BJP State President further said that Rahul Gandhi was born with a “silver spoon” and inherited everything without struggle. She claimed that this is why he fails to appreciate even the dignity of the office of the Prime Minister. She reiterated that the BJP is always ready to discuss every issue in Parliament, whereas Congress prefers disruption over facts and reason. She said Parliament functions with taxpayers’ money to frame laws in the public interest, but Congress repeatedly disrupts proceedings and obstructs issues concerning national interest.

Dr. Gupta asserted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is progressing rapidly on the path of development, but Congress is uncomfortable with the country’s progress. She claimed that the people of India have fully understood the politics of the Congress party and are watching its actions closely. She expressed confidence that even the Congress party’s remaining 99 Lok Sabha seats would disappear in the future.

Rahul Gandhi is Conspiring to Defame Democratic Institutions: Om Prakash Dhankhar

BJP State Secretary Om Prakash Dhankhar said that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party are continuously trying to mislead people by questioning the credibility of India’s democratic institutions. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly made statements abroad that damage India’s democratic image and global reputation.

Dhankhar said that the Congress party has a history of compromising constitutional values and democratic traditions for the sake of power, whereas the Bharatiya Janata Party remains fully committed to the Constitution and democratic principles.

He added that the people of India have understood the Congress party’s politics, which is why they continue to place their trust in the BJP during elections. He urged party workers to counter Congress’ misinformation campaign with facts and effectively communicate the welfare initiatives of both the Central and Haryana governments to every household.

Congress Has Become Synonymous with Lies, Misinformation and Political Opportunism: Manish Grover

Former Haryana Minister Manish Grover said that instead of focusing on people’s issues, the Congress party is trying to gain political mileage by spreading misinformation. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi continues to make statements aimed at creating confusion and distrust in the country, but the public has completely rejected such politics.

Grover said that while the Bharatiya Janata Party believes in politics centred on national interest and development, Congress seeks to divide society and undermine constitutional institutions. He said that whenever Congress fails to secure public support, it begins questioning democratic processes, which amounts to disrespecting democracy.

He further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has achieved new milestones in development, good governance and global recognition. He added that under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the state is progressing rapidly on the path of development. He said every BJP worker will continue to democratically expose Congress’ misinformation campaign and take the government’s achievements and welfare schemes to the people with greater commitment.

After surrounding the Congress headquarters in Rohtak, BJP workers led by Dr. Archana Gupta staged a sit-in protest outside the office. The gathering was also addressed by former Rajya Sabha MP Ram Chander Jangra, State General Secretary Surender Poonia, State Vice President Satish Nandal, State Treasurer Ajay Bansal, State Secretary Renu Dabla and several other senior BJP leaders.

Among those present were BJP State Media Co-Incharge Shamsher Singh Kharak, Rohtak District Incharge Advocate Vijaypal, Rohtak District President Ranvir Dhaka, Jhajjar District President Vikas Valmiki, Jind District President Tejender Dhull, Gohana District President Bijender Malik, Rewari District President Vandana Popli, BJP leaders Nagendra Sharma, Narendra Vats, Dr. Dinesh Gheelod, Mukesh Gaur, other district presidents, Zila Parishad Chairperson Manju Hooda, District General Secretary Nitin Jain, District Vice President Naveen Dhull, former Chairperson Pratibha Suman, District Media Incharge Pankaj Bhardwaj, Hari Om Mittal Bhali, District Treasurer Amit Bansal, block presidents, mandal presidents and thousands of BJP workers and office-bearers who participated in the protest.
