As the communications industry undergoes rapid transformation driven by digital innovation, artificial intelligence and evolving consumer behaviour, the Delhi School of Communication (DSC) marked the beginning of its 32nd academic session by welcoming a new generation of aspiring communication professionals on Aug4,2026.

The inauguration ceremony, held at Alliance Française de Delhi in Lodhi Estate, formally inducted the 32nd batch of the two-year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Communication (PGDPC). Since its establishment in 1995, DSC has been recognised as one of India’s leading institutes in Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), nurturing communication professionals who have gone on to build successful careers across public relations, advertising, digital media, branding and corporate communications.

The inaugural programme was attended by Anushka Seth, Head of Communications, Asia-Pacific at the British Council, as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Sheshadri Mitra, Marketing Lead at India Global Forum, an alumnus of the 2016–18 batch, Gold Medallist and recipient of the Surojit Lahiri Memorial Award.

Addressing the incoming students, Anushka Seth highlighted the enduring value of trust in an increasingly dynamic communications landscape.

“The communications profession is evolving at an unprecedented pace, but trust remains its greatest asset. Effective communication builds credibility between individuals, institutions and society. Along with technical expertise, young professionals must cultivate curiosity, integrity and empathy to succeed in the industry,” she said.

Encouraging students to embrace the opportunities ahead,  Seshadri Mitra described their academic journey as a process of self-discovery.

“This is much more than a professional course—it is an opportunity to discover yourself. Share your ideas fearlessly, learn from your peers and make the most of every experience. The relationships and lessons you build here will shape your future,” he told the new batch.

Welcoming the students, Professor Ramola Kumar, Dean of the Delhi School of Communication, emphasised that long-term career success is built not merely on academic qualifications but on continuous learning and adaptability.

“A successful career is sustained through lifelong learning, the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and an unwavering commitment to acquiring new knowledge. Young professionals are the driving force behind a progressive and innovative India,” she said.
