People thought I was crazy, of course, or that I’d joined a cult or been brainwashed! American PhD students with degrees from Stanford and a life of privilege and abundant opportunities don’t usually leave it behind to join an ashram in the Himalayan foothills. But I knew this was my path, long before I had ever heard the word dharma. I knew this was my home. The gift of the past 30 years is immeasurable and inexpressible. The healing, transformation, peace and joy I’ve been given is beyond what I ever could have imagined dreaming of. But to also be able to share those lessons, share that healing, bring those teachings into spaces that heal and transform others — that has been an even deeper and greater gift. It’s such a blessing to have this new, exquisite website available for people to receive wisdom, inspiration, teachings and also the stories of my journey that emphasize how spirituality and humanity go together….I am so deeply grateful for the seva that has gone into this creation and so excited for you all to explore it.
